PULLMAN - It's Mom's Weekend at Washington State, and football coach Bill Doba only wishes Cougar moms had produced more Cougar football players. Doba breathed a sigh of relief Saturday afternoon when the severely shorthanded Cougars gingerly worked their way through a short controlled scrimmage to wrap up a month of spring practice.

"I thought it was just right," Doba said about the 53-minute scrimmage, a good portion of which consisted of red-zone work and special teams play. "I didnt see anyone get carried off the field. Nobody got hurt."
