It's like the movie "Groundhog Day," in which we wake up every morning and the same scene unfolds. Except this is no Bill Murray comedy. It's an American drama directed by George W. Bush that's getting close to becoming a tragedy.

In yet another whistleblower-exposed case of the administration rewriting science to support a political policy, Philip Cooney, chief of staff of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, who has no science background, edited several federal reports to diminish their emphasis on the degree and urgency of the world climate-change phenomenon.
