In 1921, advertising copy writers working the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco account came up with this slogan for a cigarette: "I'd walk a mile for a Camel."

The sad truth, of course, is that many smokers can't walk a mile. The sadder truth is that plenty of nonsmokers don't have the walking, or exercise, habit, either.
