U.S. Dollar Posts Small Gain Against Euro Amid Eu Worries

BERLIN - The euro flirted with another record high Monday before falling slightly against the dollar, as concerns over the U.S. trade and budget deficits and worse-than-expected U.S. employment data kept up pressure on the currency.

The dollar rose in late New York trading, with the euro falling to $1.3417, down from $1.3452 late Friday. The euro hit $1.3456 earlier in the day, close to Friday's all-time high of $1.3460.
