Spokane Third-Graders Suspended for 2-Inch Toy Guns

SPOKANE (AP) -- Three third-grade boys who brought tiny action figure toy guns to school received one-day suspensions for violating the Spokane School District's zero-tolerance weapons policy.

District officials said the suspensions Tuesday also were given because the 2-inch-long GI Joe toys violated a policy against bringing toys to school.
