Summary
Share, the Vancouver-based homeless advocacy organization, has canceled the annual holiday party that was scheduled for Dec. 18 because of the weather forecast. The party has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 8 for 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eages, 107 E. Seventh Street. In a release, Share Executive Director Diane Christie said Share officials made the decision for the safety of their clients and staff. She said they may have to reschedule the party again, if the cold persists. Holiday gifts will be distributed to clients from Dec. 22 to Dec. 24 at Share House, 1115 W. 13th St., during meal times, 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. They will also be distributed at the holiday party on Jan. 8. Families in the adopt-a-family program can pick up their gifts on the originally scheduled dates of Dec. 21st and 22nd at their scheduled appointment times.
