While the official completion date for the $35 million Interstate 5 widening job at Salmon Creek is spring 2007, the last major phase of the work is under way: laying out ribbons of new asphalt.
Paving of the southbound freeway lanes at both ends of the new bridge above Salmon Creek is quickly changing the look of the area as it pushes the three-year-old project to possible completion by year's end.
