Public Records Focus of Forum; Attorney General Seeks Input On Open Government

Summary


Clark County residents will have a chance to help shape new public records rules at a Wednesday forum led by Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna.

The 2005 Legislature passed a package of bills designed to improve citizen access to government records and clarify which records must be made public under Washington's 1972 Public Disclosure Act. McKenna has scheduled 13 "Open Government" forums around the state. The Clark County forum, hosted by The Columbian, will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the WSU Vancouver Auditorium, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.
