Clark County voters helped push the initiative that would have repealed a 9.5-cent gas tax increase into the loser's column, a leader of the campaign to defeat the measure said Wednesday.

"We were absolutely delighted with the vote in Clark County," said Mark Funk, communications director for the No on 912 campaign. "I've tracked anti-tax initiatives in Clark County before and the county has always swung strongly behind them."
