Residents who have spent more than six years fighting an asphalt plant proposed for a heavy-industry site in Brush Prairie say they will take their protests to the streets on Monday and Tuesday as a prelude to a public hearing on the issue.

Issaquah-based Lakeside Industries wants to develop the project, in phases, on 16 acres at 12500 N.E. Caples Road. That the site is next to the Country Manor Mobile Home Village is only one reason residents have mobilized to oppose the project.
