OLYMPIA - Lawmakers representing Clark County did right by their constituents in the 2007 session, bringing home state dollars for a record number of capital projects and winning passage of local- interest bills on issues ranging from tougher criminal sentences to streamlined services for disabled children.

With Sen. Craig Pridemore, D-Vancouver, as vice chairman of the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee and Rep. Bill Fromhold, D- Vancouver, at the helm of the House Capital Budget Committee, the county was well-represented during budget deliberations.
