SEATTLE (AP) The state's Commission on Judicial Conduct has censured a King County District Court judge and recommended she be suspended for one month without pay, saying she routinely violated the rights of defendants.
There was no evidence that the actions of Judge Mary Ann Ottinger adversely affected the defendants' cases, the commission said in a 14-page ruling, but "the negligence of the judge cannot be excused."
