Too many Clark County residents have defined "garbage" or "trash" too broadly. Many would be surprised to learn how much stuff we're throwing away that could be recycled.
For example, each Clark County resident last year threw away an average of 27 pounds of clothing, linens, toys, utensils, dishes, books, furniture and other items that could have been used again. Add to that per-resident waste an average 129 pounds of recoverable wood, 152 pounds of building materials and 140 pounds of plastic.See the full content of this document
