BREMERTON (AP) Struggling to maintain its military housing as more defense money goes toward the war effort, the Navy will hand management of its housing in the Northwest over to a new landlord.
Today the Navy is to finalize a deal to transfer maintenance of the majority of its 4,000 Northwest housing units nearly 1,400 in the west Puget Sound to American Eagle Communities LLC, a private company in Dallas with eight military housing contracts in San Diego, Texas and New Orleans.
