David DeLong, the county's first coordinator for indigent defense services, has submitted his resignation to take a better-paying position with the state.

He'll start his new job with the Office of Public Defense in Olympia on Aug. 1, and plans to use three weeks of vacation before leaving his Clark County post, he said Friday.
