WASHINGTON Despite growing anger in Congress, the Bush administration is sticking to its course of financial diplomacy to prod China to revamp a currency system that U.S. manufacturers contend hurts their sales.

John Taylor, the Treasury Department's undersecretary for international affairs, said finance officials from the world's richest countries who are meeting this weekend in Washington will continue to press for a flexible currency system in China.
