OLYMPIA State senators are putting the finishing touches on an ambitious transportation finance plan anchored by a two-step, nickel increase in the gasoline tax, followed by automatic annual boosts of a penny per gallon for the next 10 years.
The $8 billion package will be unveiled Monday after the Democratic and Republican caucuses are briefed. Staffers said Thursday that some details remain to be worked out, as well as the list of projects that would benefit.See the full content of this document
