OLYMPIA (AP) -- Democrat Mike Kreidler on Wednesday announced his bid for a second four-year term as state insurance commissioner.

Kreidler, 60, is a former state legislator, school board member, congressman and regional director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The insurance commissioner regulates the $20 billion insurance industry in the state.
