Summary
While the federal government and Southern states struggle to learn everything they can about last years offshore oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and how to keep it from happening again lawmakers in distant Washington state are taking meaningful action. On Wednesday, April 20, Gov. Chris Gregoire signed a bill that will expedite and intensify the states ability to respond to oil spills.
