The press releases from U.S. Reps. Brian Baird, D-Vancouver, and Richard "Doc" Hastings, R-Pasco, do not use the words "shoot" "bullet" "kill" "rub out" or "take down." What they did say was that the bill they are introducing again this year "allows for the lethal removal of the most aggressive sea lions in order to deter predation and help protect endangered salmon as they return to spawn."
If that sensitivity in the wording is the way to go, that's fine by us, even though we're inclined to call it the "Shoot The Marauding, Rapacious, Salmon-Stealing Sea Lions Act of 2007."See the full content of this document
