WASHOUGAL -- Port of Camas-Washougal commissioners have decided to buck recommendations of a local advisory committee and complete the study of a Grove Field airport layout plan that could result in $10.5 million in upgrades with federal strings attached.

The three commissioners voted unanimously Monday to direct consultant W&H Pacific of Portland to proceed with work on a draft 20-year master plan. But they stopped just short of pursuing money for the upgrades from the Federal Aviation Administration for now.
