RIDGEFIELD A 30-year-old Ridgefield man had been drinking alcohol on Monday before he took four children for a walk across a railroad bridge that averages more than two trains per hour.

Arin M. Kight, 30, was fatally injured by a southbound Union Pacific freight train on the Lewis River railroad bridge north of Ridgefield.
