PEORIA, Ariz. -- Brandon Sing hit two long home runs and had three RBI and Aramis Ramirez also homered, helping the Chicago Cubs to a 15-8 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Sing is expected to start the season at Triple-A Iowa this season after hitting 26 and 32 homers, respectively, the past two seasons in the minors. He's a first baseman and the Cubs have an All-Star at that position, Derrek Lee, who had 46 homers and 107 RBI and won the NL batting title in 2005.
