Crispin Clean Again; Jockey Beats Drugs, Drinking to Shine at Portland Meadows

The 46-year-old Vancouver jockey, aiming to rebound from a troubled past, ought to be a 3-5 favorite anytime he jumps aboard a horse these days at the north Portland horse track. Ten weeks into the 2006-07 racing season, Crispin has won 75 races, almost triple the number of the next-best rider -- Juan Gutierrez with 28.
