Circus Comes to Town; Young Wenatchee Performers Carry On Decades- Long Tradition

When high-schoolers become high-wire artists, the circus must be in town. After a year's absence due to fairgrounds construction, the Wenatchee Youth Circus has returned to the Clark County Fair. The circus plays at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily in its new home on the fairgrounds' northeast corner, near the carnival.

This year's troupe consists of more than three-dozen pint-sized Barnums, showing their mettle on the flying trapeze, walking the tightrope, and, naturally, clowning around.
