CAMAS - The city council hired The Oldani Group of Bellevue for $19,800 plus expenses to study the city's Emergency Medical Service, which has lost $409,000 over the past few years through overly optimistic revenue estimates and excess overtime spending.

Oldani assigned consultant Pete Lucarelli, a former Bellevue fire chief, to head the study. Lucarelli told the council when it approved the Oldani contract Monday night that a draft of the findings will be ready by the end of February.
