PORTLAND - The Portland Beavers broke open a close game with seven runs in the fifth and tallied a PGE Park-record 20 hits for a 13-6 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Sunday at PGE Park.

Yamid Haad and Jake Gautreau both hit home runs and joined Kerry Robinson and J.J. Furmaniak with three hits for the Beavers, who climbed to within a half-game of the division-leading Rainiers in the PCL North.
