County Fair Attendance Increases Slightly; Corrected Figures Improve This Year's Performance

When Tom Musser took over as the Clark County Fair's executive director in 1994, he ended the practice of spectacularly inflated visitor counts, which by all indications were generated by tallying the hooves of every creature, human or barn-raised, that walked through any gate on the premises.

This week, he had to revise downward his own count for last year's paid attendance after finding an error. The correction had the fortuitous effect of putting this year's count ahead of 2005.
