Some well-intentioned people are doing what they can to help us be smart voters, but they need participation from the candidates, some of whom have been no help at all in the past.
Project Vote Smart, a nonpartisan, independent organization that tries to help voters and the press learn all they can about issues and candidates (for president, Congress, statewide and legislative offices) is on the job in Washington state. With candidate-filing having ended Friday, the organization (www.vote-smart.org) is mailing its National Political Awareness Test to those candidates, just as it has in the past and as it does in other states.See the full content of this document
