OLYMPIA -- Education advocates from around the state told a Senate committee Thursday that transforming Washington's education system to meet 21st century challenges will require more than Gov. Chris Gregoire's school reform blueprint, called Washington Learns.
For one thing, capital construction funds will be needed to build all the new kindergartens and science labs envisioned in the plan, a delegation of developers, Realtors and school and local government officials from Clark County said.See the full content of this document
