The students from the class of 2008 are about to become seniors, and about 87 percent are on track to graduate, the state schools office reported Friday.

The state also released 10th-grade scores for the WASL, the state's standardized exam. Those scores showed improvement in writing since last year but decreased slightly in reading and math.
